Global - Channel Endpoints : MMS
MMS or Multimedia Messaging Service allows MMS users to send multimedia content, such as images, audio, phone contacts and video files. MMS messages do not have a standard limit and the maximum size of such a message depends on the provider.
The following fields can be configured (the ones with an asterisk are required fields) :
- Name* — Provide a name that reflects the use of this MMS endpoint. This name will be used in the Organization configuration.
- Type* — Select the type of endpoint here : MMS.
- Provider* — You must choose the linked MMS plugin to use for this endpoint. Depending on the selected MMS plugin, different connection parameters are required.
- API-Name* — The API-name attributed to the endpoint and used by the API.
- Description — Provide a description that reflects the use of this endpoint.
- Sender* — The Sender ID appears as the sender of the message when it reaches the recipient. It needs to be registered, and can be numeric (e.g. 74567 or +1-555-987-6543) or alphanumeric (e.g. CompanyName).
- Username and password or Token* — This is the authentication, which depends on the provider. It can be credentials linked to your MMS provider account, or an API authentication token.
Note: The type and provider fields can only be selected during creation of a new channel endpoint. When editing an existing channel endpoint, they are read-only and can thus no longer be changed.
